Twenty minutes versus ninety: where the number comes from

The miha bodytec control unit

“One session is worth ninety minutes in the gym.” You will see that line on every EMS website in the world, including mine. Let me explain where it comes from, so you know what you are being told.

The idea behind it

In a normal workout you can only contract a muscle as hard as your nervous system lets you. For most of us that is a fraction of what the muscle can do. EMS adds a second signal from outside, so far more fibres fire at once, including deep ones you cannot reach by willpower.

Because every major muscle group is working at the same time, and working harder than it would on its own, twenty minutes in the suit covers the ground that a long gym session spread across many machines would cover. That is the comparison miha bodytec, who build our system, make in their own material.

What it does not mean

It does not mean the suit does the work for you. You still squat, lunge and press, and you still sweat. It does not replace walking, golf, swimming or whatever you enjoy. And it does not turn you into an athlete in a month. It means the strength part of your week is done in twenty minutes, once, with someone watching your form.

How we check it

I do not ask anyone to take the number on trust. We scan you on the InBody 270 at the start and every few weeks after. Muscle mass goes on the printout. So does body fat. Either the twenty minutes are working or they are not, and you will see which.

Your first session is free, and it is only 12 minutes. Book it on WhatsApp or call 086 810 6213.
